Elephone S7 review 2017

The Elephone S7 is a very attractive phone at a reasonably priced price; it features decent performance and a generous amount of storage. The Elephone S7 is available in several versions, Black, Blue, Green, and Gold so you’ll have to double-check which you are buying before you go ahead.

The best thing about this phone is its design. It has a mirror finish light that makes it look like a jewel. It is absolutely stunning – particularly in blue. The Elephone S7 is a large screen phablet but it feels smaller because of its thin bezels both to the right and left. It also has curved edges on the front and rear and it is ultra thin with a 7.6mm chassis. The Elephone S7 is also light in weight ad it weight on 175g.

The Elephone S7 is a deca-core Smartphone with an integrated Helio X20 processor, also known as the MediaTek MT6797M. This processor is paired with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, plus the Mali-T880 GPU. The performance is very good for a mid range phone such as this. The Elephone S7 is capable of pretty much anything you can throw at it. Talk about high speed multi tasking. Gaming graphics are easily playable and videos look good. Navigation and the launching of apps is not as instant as on a flagship, but neither is it slow.

The Elephone S7 is a dual-SIM dual-standby Smartphone with a fusion SIM slot. It can accept either two Nano-Sims, which are both functional for calls and texts and only one for data, or it can accept one Nano-SIM and one microSD card up to 128GB in aptitude.

Camera is another basic aspect on the Elephone S7.The primary camera is a 13Mp, f/2.2 snapper with a single-LED flash, whereas the selfie camera is 5mp.

When it comes to storage, the Elephone S7 comes with an inbuilt 64GB and it also has a MicroSD slot that can be upgraded to 128GB. The downside of this MicroSD card slot is that it takes up the same space as the second SIM slot and you can never have both at the same time.

With the use of a Micro USB charging is very fast. The Elephone S7 can reach 50% in less than 30 minutes and 90% in an hour. Talk of fast charging. The Elephone S7 has 3000mAh non removable battery which can be a headache to heavy users since it tends to drain even when on standby mode.

The Elephone S7 runs a vanilla version of Android Marshmallow. You will find some pre installed apps such as the Google Play with very few additions. A Turbo download mode that combines both cellular and Wi-Fi data has also been incorporated in the Elephone S7.

The layout is standard, with volume and power buttons on the right side, a SIM tray on the left, headphone jack up top and Micro-USB port and speaker grilles below. Although there are two, it appears to be a mono speaker inside.
